Education Credit towards Professional Experience

I hold a M.S. in Engineering, and I heard that it counts as one year of professional experience. In the website of NCEES it states the following:

Minimum total years of experience – exclusive of education credit: 4

Does this mean that I will only need 3 years and they give one year education credit?

depends on the state, but yes usually an MS counts as one year of experience towards the 4. CHeck with your state board to be sure
