I think it's a mistake since the angle for the current should be kept -34.9.

Am I right?

As per my understanding what they did is right as power angle is difference between your voltage and current angle. Please see attach page. Feel free to correct me if my approach is wrong!

The angle is between the terminal voltage and the current the internal voltage has nothing to do with it.
