As a California boy, it wasn't so much the magnitude of cold necessarily... It was the sheer volume of lake effect snow (LadySquare is from Albany, but we actually lived in Syracuse) that got me.

Oof, yea. It is definitely worse out West. I've driven through blizzards because I didn't want to cancel the meeting AGAIN. Kick-off meetings in the winter are a bad idea.

Syracuse seems like a pretty nice place. I went there in mid spring a couple years ago, but I did hear stories about the snow they get there...
