I think so. I have a Staub and love it. It's what I have been using to bake my bread, and I also make awesome soups in it. I haven't yet used it for much else, but I could do some sort of roast in it too, I'm sure.

I'd say Lodge is fine! Our cast iron pan is Lodge, and I love that danged thing to bits.

I still have my same knife block set that I bought when I was in college. Thankfully, I wasn't an idiot and bought myself a halfway decent set of knives. No need to replace them at the moment.

What do you mean when you say real vanilla? I'm guessing I didn't, as the recipe I use calls for vanilla extra.

Hey, now that I think of it, I believe I have some bourbon maple syrup in the cabinet that needs to be used.
