Thankfully I did not use them.

When I learned that the points would not work in other states I elected not to submit my DD 214 with my application.

Yeah, I don't know why anyone would want to have their passing score lowered, nor do I see why any State Board would want to do that.  It almost seems like an insult to veterans. Hiring preference, sure, but proving your engineering skills and abilities?
