I am also enrolled in the EET Transpo Depth course and I am really enjoying it! I do agree that the homework material is challenging but from my understanding, the course is meant to over-prepare you for the exam, providing example problems that get down to the absolute basics of that concept and taking it any way imaginable to make sure you understand any possible situation that can be thrown at you on the exam. When you say challenging, do you mean that you cannot solve them or it is just taking you a while to figure out the answer? Good Luck!!
From what I have gathered from everyone here on Engineerboards, it seems that the breadth and depth binders from the EET course will provide about 90% of everything we will need for the exam. From my own experience through studying, I have been able to use the binders to help solve about 98% of the practice problems I have done that are NOT related to the EET course which leads me to believe that yes the binders can be used for a lot of what we will run in to. This course is amazing. I took the exam this past April and leading up to it I had no idea how to study for it or what to focus most on and this course took care of all of that! I have already counted a few dozen times where we covered a specific question or topic that had I studied it before the April exam I would have nailed it so I am VERY optimistic this time around. Its just another text, IMO, a lot easier to follow along or "learn" topics you don't know. The CERM is too technical for my liking. Goswami isn't as all encompassing as the CERM though.
I have come across at least 5-6 times over the past few months where a problem will give a key word that would indicate what they are looking for and if I am struggling trying to interpret what they are getting at by using the CERM I open up Goswami's book and sure enough it had the needed equation in it's simplest form. For example, last night I came across a question that gave a slender column pinned at both ends and it provided I and E and asked for the Euler's force on the column. So I flipped through my EET binder, didn't find anything of use, flipped through the CERM and nothing jumped out at me as something I could use, so I went to the Index of Goswami and boom, right there in the index was "Euler force", flipped to the page, plugged and chugged and got my answer. Long story short, like John QPE said, it is just another reference to fall back on if need be.

I appreciate you pointing those out and your continued support! We are getting down to the wire here and I am doing all that I can to make sure I walk out of there knowing I got a 100! or at least feeling that way!! I cannot stress enough how helpful you and John QPE have been throughout this process!! I will definitely do my best to contribute to helping future test takers if I can knock this thing out of the park come October!!
