Hello, I am attending UGA this fall semester as a 3rd year transfer. I will be majoring in Computer Systems Engineering, which is basically hardware engineering (mix of EE and CS). My friend just recently graduated from this exact program and landed a successful job. He is telling me to go with Computer Science instead because the engineering program isn't that great. So my question is, how do I know if I am cut out for Computer Engineering? Computer components and how they are made interests me but I have not taken Electrical Circuits yet. I just need to find out if i truly want to keep hardware as an option, so I can change my major if i need to.
In other words, what do you love about EE and what do you think an engineer needs to love and do well with EE?
Thanks!
