I called the board last year when I took the exam first time, the lady was kind enough, but had no information, and couldn't answer any questions I had. I wasn't on any message boards at that point, so I only saw the NCEES website update that said that "PE results were released to the states" - I think I got my results online within a day of seeing the NCEES update - but now that I understand that NJ has to validate the scores before NCEES can release them, I realize its arbitrary.
in another thread on this board, someone is indicating that the PCS is now releasing the scores for NJ. Any idea as to the truth to this?

I just started a thread asking PCS states to say something if they see results (in case they aren't following our awesome spamfest)

you may get results sooner rather than later but then you wait again in NJ for the actual license. good friend took the test in nj, it wasn't until august that he actually got the license

and that is fine. I can somewhat accept that, but when so many other states are reporting in, lets get this moving.

Apparently Tennessee mailed their results today...snail mail gotta love it!!!!

My question is, what in the world are the state boards doing to "validate" the results? Seems like there's nothing for them to validate.

THere are states that give bonus points for veteran status, etc. One of the southern states did that if i remember correctly.

Plus they want to think they have some sort of control over the system. I've heard rumors that say some states may even adjust the cut score so that there aren't too many/too few licenses issued...

I posted this on the PCS thread, but when I called them to politely ask if there was a timetable for releasing WI PE results, the lady said "next week, sometime" (yes, you could really hear the italics in her tone of voice.)

Nice.
