Thanks, it was exactly a year ago I finished filling out my Colorado application. Was hoping to cut & paste. You would think on non-engineering experience they would let you skip the contact info. Now to find contact info for my very brief Navy experience before I got droped from flying...

Any tips for filling out the experience forms? They contact info for every job! Took me 20 years to get the PE I have to really work for all the info they want! :brickwall:

Great CAD! When I started I just did the basics after reading Frank Conforti's book. Then experimented with new tools after using the online help. The new V8 ver has some auto cad compatibility, look for the help for autocad users. Good luck, most people find it hard till they get used to it...

Watch out, hornets can sting more than once!!! Get an assistant with a water hose to back you up & use a full can!!! I have yellow jackets under my front porch, must be in a ways, after spraying they still come & go. So 5lb of sand and cover entrance with 6" of rock & they still...

Sent mine registered mail, so I know when they got it. In Colorado your reference seals the info in envelop & you send it all together. The only separate info comes from licensing from other states, for the intern for me.

I finally got my certificate!!! Almost a year when I started to fill out the applications! The state received on Oct 3, 2007, Studied to April 2008, test April 11, 2008, results after 58 days & finally received the certificate. Good luck to all taking the next test, keep after it takes time.

I would study all areas, you will need it for the morning & you can get some variations in the afternoon. Do spend the most time in the depth you intend to take. You can ignore some of the details of the other depths, but I would have a good general knowledge of each.

I took the EIT my last year of school, figured I would not need it did not know what to study. It was basic early school stuff, but that was long ago. The PE is much more complex, most have to get into test taking after being out of school, and most do not do all of our field every day.

I only used a psychometric chart once on twice in 2 years of HVAC, but is used quite a bit on the test. Also solving for the amount of refrigerant in a cycle? At least that was on the practice test. To much thermo for me. Have a look at the outline & practice problems, study some for all...

I thought the HVAC would be to theoretical, after studyin the 6 min solutions and the NCEES practice questions. So I went to Machine Design.

Still waiting for certificate! Got e-mail I owe $10 for the application fee! Anyone else have this happen, at least application was not rejected in December.
