Oh my gosh, this was exactly me with the Roadside Design Guide. Random pages missing in the middle. I just laid my head on my desk for about 5 minutes in sheer agony.

Firstly, please remember, not passing the PE exam does not make you any worse of an engineer than you were before you took the exam.

Take some time off to relax and process your diagnostic report, and decide how you want to attack studying in your next attempt. Whatever you decide (review course, self study, etc.), make a plan and stick to it.

Pick up the studying again, do as many practice problems as you're able, and take this exam down come April!

It's worth noting that there are a LOT of EBers who did not pass on their first try. After you pass, it doesn't even matter how many tries it took you. And personally, it is my belief that the more times you fail the PE exam, the more sweet it is when you finally pass!

Thank  you for your advise. This is my fourth attempt. I just feel so bad in front of everybody at work. At this point, I’m not sure what to study. I studied school of pe, EET and test masters all together :(  but I’m still not passing.

If you are a better student than I am, I've heard really good things about the School of PE and the EET.  It sounds like School of PE is excellent for morning but maybe not quite as good for the afternoon.

Either way, try to take your mock practice exam a couple weeks before the exam so you can find any deficient areas you may have. I really didn't study very much the last week before the exam and instead focused mostly on tabs and references being in order and everything.

Thank you. I studied both school of PE and EET but my problem is when they twist the question then I become confused and also if I’m not familiar with the question I won’t be able to answer.

I'm so sorry. I failed multiple times too before I finally passed.  Can you evaluate your study habits to see where you can change?  For me, I realized i needed to stop studying on the couch and focus on doing as many problems as I could. Even though I was in a review course during the times I failed, I still wasn't putting in the time I needed on working problems.  Try and see what study habits you can tweak.

I'm Environmental, so used School of PE problems/EET Water Resources/Env review course (highly recommend).  I also worked through the Schneiter practice exam books and NCEES practice exams.  Those were the major ones...I didn't touch the Lindeburg review problems, those were useless IMO.

It sounds to me like you may need to work more problems on your own outside of the class.  I was lucky in that work was really slow this fall so I spent 2-4 hours every day working problems at my desk. I struggled big time early because I'd get stumped, look at the solution, think "wow I totally get it now!", get to the next (similar) question and have no idea how to do it, then repeat.  After doing that for a couple of weeks, things started to click for me. The Six Minute Solutions were amazing because they have so many questions that attack similar problems from different angles.

I did both too. But I didn’t see a lot of Simplistic questions were touched either in the am and pm. Some of these questions were not even discussed. Did you feel the same way ? Did you use CERM ?

Thank you for the advise. I’ll start doing this. One more stupid question. I found it hard for me to understand some of these questions. Is there any website/ group ? where people can help discuss
