I know it is disappointing, but technically you did pass two exams. Sorry you have to wait, but congrats on the tests you did pass.

Thanks for the kind words...it's more a matter of me kicking myself for not preparing properly. Well, I got the hard test (1st day 8hr) out of the way...couple days going over surveying and I should be good...just have to wait out another test cycle.

Also, to everyone who passed...congrats :beerchug:

practice the solids/water/air proportion problems to get that thinking programmed, learn the soil classification charts, and don't overthink the construction problems. the 38 on morning trans, what happened there?

I like to send a special shout out to Tina from Oceanside and JR. They don't know it, but they've been a great source of information, encouragement and inspiration through the years.

Big thanks to the founders of engineerboards for creating such a beneficial and fun online resource for exam preparation. You guys rock! I don't say much but I troll a lot...This site is the best. Take care, everybody!!

Whoa, I need one more post to make the 25 post minimum for getting on the banner scroll. Here it is!

Congrats mr. smee! :multiplespotting: :party-smiley-048:

I usually just browse the boards, don't get much time to post. I got my letter today. Passed!! :multiplespotting:

To all who are struggling with surveying, here is hope. This was my 3rd time. Passed the rest of it on first try. First time I just wanted to attempt the exam, 2nd time I studied some but did not take practice exams etc. The only thing that helped was doing practice exams. Timing is everything in this exam and for people like me who do nothing connected with surveying it is even tougher because of the unfamiliarity of the terminology.

I think if there is enough time most everyone will pass this exam, but it is a race against time that they test.

So don't give up hope.

I am glad I will not have to touch the stupid surveying books ever again. THANK GOD!!!!

I am in Pasadena and have not received my results yet. I am sure it will show up on Monday. I am worreid about Seismic exam. Does anyone know the cutoff score for Seismic? Please post.

Received my results today, Jan 26, and I passed. I had already passed the Seismic and Surveys in April '07, so this time it was just the 8 hour. I was really surprised, since I didn't feel I'd done well enough to pass when I walked out of the test site. I live in Sacramento.

I also encourage those who were not successful this time not to give up and not to beat yourself up. I echo the sentiments of others who've posted already - they've said it better than I could.

I'd also like to thank the creators of this board and all those who've contributed to it. You've all made it a pretty cool place.

Congratulations to everyone that passed! I know how hard the prolonged wait can be. To those of you that received bad news, we'll be here for advice when you need it.

P.S. - trolling isn't too bad but it is a little more fun to take part every now and then. Especially once you aren't concerned about preparing for an exam. :)

I have passed my Mechanical PE (Thermal and Fluids) first attempt.....Now I can have a happy birthday.

I was too tensed to check it yesterday, finally had courage to check today ....

Honestly without the support of this board I would not have made it. Thanks to all the people (newton, rvincent, and many others) who encouraged me and helped me throughout my preparation and good luck to all the future examinees

Mine will probably not get here until tomorrow or wednesday at the latest. I moved out of Cali last year. I am not sure why I moved to this crappy state yet but oh well. Cali is just too expensive to buy a house although the quality of life is GREAT. Congratulations to everyone that passed!!!
