    Spin up 1-31 (average value of a square wave)

    The questions asks for the average value. Should'nt the answer be 0 and not 1000? The average value of a periodic square wave is zero. The answer would make sense to me if we were asked to find the effective or r.m.s value of the waveform. What am I missing? Thanks.

    Does anyone know why the solution assumes the primary and secondary winding resistance are equal? I would expect the secondary to have more resistance as it effectively has more turns. So Rp is not equal to (a^2)Rs ?

    On average, what percentage of exam questions will be asked in metric units? I've heard that we have the option of solving problems presented in imperial in either metric or imperial. Is this true? Also, are we provided with a sufficient amount of scrap paper to work out problems? Thanks.
