Spin up 1-31 (average value of a square wave)

The questions asks for the average value. Should'nt the answer be 0 and not 1000? The average value of a periodic square wave is zero. The answer would make sense to me if we were asked to find the effective or r.m.s value of the waveform. What am I missing? Thanks.

1000 is correct. The question is asking for the average "magnitude", not average value. It took me awhile to see it. It was a little tricky. I am practicing reading the questions slowly, this will come in handy for the exam.

This question caught me as well. Reading the questions slowly really helps, as they can be pretty tricky..
