    Construction Depth Reference Manual

    The book is OK as a revision note but there are not too many examples like Ruwan book. The crane section was not properly ccovered in the book. Overall it gives basic knowlege of construction mangement. I would not say it's a coplte waste of $100 for you can always resell the book after use.

    Geotech Problem

    The question asked for total pressure and not for effective pressure. The water water pressure is not considered in this case so the answer is 1280.

    The given value for pore water pressure (12psi) is actually 10psi. 12psi is a typo error. The procedure is correct.

    The stimating and CPM questions in the book are more closely related to the NCEES sample questions. The information you get about from project management books may refer to construction management process. You may also obtain earn value methods (BWCS, ACWP...). Nothing more, but you need books...

    Can someone help solve this problem: The average number of tractor (trucks) passing through a point is 1500 trucks per hour lane (tphl). The trucks travel at an average speed of 40mph. If the average truck length (bumper to bumper) is 70ft. What is the distance between the trucks?
