The book is OK as a revision note but there are not too many examples like Ruwan book. The crane section was not properly ccovered in the book. Overall it gives basic knowlege of construction mangement. I would not say it's a coplte waste of $100 for you can always resell the book after use.

Yea. I called PPI and was advised that the book will be in their store by Mid-August ready to be shipped out.

How did you obtain the solution manual? Is the manual for the third or the fourth edition? I have been tring to otain the solution manual. Any advise/assistance will help. Sam

I have the third Edition of Traffic and Highway Engineering by Garber and Hoel. I understand that there is a fourth edition. Folks, do you know whether the tables , formulas ans figures in the third edition is current enough for the PE exam. Anxiously waiting for your thought/advice. Sam

The question asked for total pressure and not for effective pressure. The water water pressure is not considered in this case so the answer is 1280.

The given value for pore water pressure (12psi) is actually 10psi. 12psi is a typo error. The procedure is correct.

The stimating and CPM questions in the book are more closely related to the NCEES sample questions. The information you get about from project management books may refer to construction management process. You may also obtain earn value methods (BWCS, ACWP...). Nothing more, but you need books...

You may also want to purchase " All-in-one Breath abd Depth " by Dr Indranil. I hope you take sometime to study 1926 OHSA book and Equipment prduction book by Nunally.
