I see an apparent conflict between Wildi and the NCEES practice exam that I'd like help rectifying (no pun intended). Wildi p. 494 says that the peak inverse voltage across a diode is equal to the peak value of the AC line voltage, or 1.414*Vrms. The NCEES practice exam #515 says the minimum reverse voltage rating (which I assume is the same as the "peak inverse voltage") is the peak-to-peak value of the line voltage, or 2*1.414*Vrms.
Any thoughts?
