Like the title says...interested in hearing opinions about starting an indepdent firm. For context, I have 8 years of experience in my field (Nevada PE, some useless designations, and California PE soon). I am frustrated with my employer's practices and approach. These days, I find myself arguing with my boss on quality of work (or lackthere of). I have been actively interviewing and I have offers but feels like trading one boomer boss for another boomer. Have done some freelance work on the side too but I don't know how to develop a solid business plan that can offset my current salary. Definetely don't want to poach any clients out of respect and ethics. Thoughts, suggestions or your personal experiences will truly be appreciated!!

Thanks!
