in the spirit of post thanksgiving and prechristmas, I am thankful to have avoided layouts thus far. Been here 15 years in May and I have see the company downsize significantly through the Great Recession

They do them every December. We kind of get used to them. It's this corporate management theory that regular layoffs are healthy.
