I'm laying on the couch with LilSC watching Mickey Mouse. Does that count as busy? We are experimenting with letting her stay up later on weekend (with hopes it lead to her sleeping in more).

Lol. My 3 yr eas up past 1030 last Saturday. Still woke up at 630 am

We let Lil Sapling stay up late on Fridays. He usually sleeps in until 7-7:30 on Saturday. He put away an absurd amount of pizza tonight, so I think he's growing. That should buy us a looong night's sleep.

^^^same with my kiddos. Now they are old enough to get their own breakfast and turn on cartoons.

I like being able to sleep in.

I have a 3.5 yr old, a 2 yr old and a noob coming in jan. Sleeping in isnt an option. As a matter of fact I could probably get this thread real close to 10k between jan and june with all of the middle of the night "fun" to be expected with the noob.

Y'all are totally bursting my bubble! Momma wants to sleep past 7am at least once or twice. Somehow my parents manage it when they keep her. I must learn their ways.

You need to train them better. Our dogs totally learned the concept of weekends. If we weren't up by 6:30 M-F, they would wake us up. Sat-Sun, they knew not to make a peep until we got up.

So one of my children decided that it was a good idea to lock and close our bedroom door... The only for without a key to unlock it should such an instance occur. In attempting to Jimmy the door open I had to remove the door stop. I had literally removed the final nail when my wife informed me that prior to the door being locked and closed, she had opened one of our windows in that room. Really? I wish I had known that about 5 mins earlier. I guess I should have checked.

Well, having the little one stay up later worked for us. She slept in! Now of course this has totally messed up her nap schedule. I thought just shifting the halftime back would work, but in stead I'm sitting here listening to a little girl laying in bed and singing. And I know from experience, she is not ready to go without a nap.
