I get to go to reading workshop at my kid's school today. It means I get to read a book of my choosing and then a book to share with my reading buddy. I'm starting "We Were Soldiers Once...and Young" and I'm wondering if I have to explain to a second grader my book choice.

My coffee maker broke last weekend. The husband wants to try to fix it. I think it's a lost cause and that coffee makers are built with a timer to ensure the break after 5 years of use.

I tend to only use ours during the winter... speaking of this morning it was about 49 degrees and as I dragged the trash can to the road in my flipflops I thought to myself, gee, this is a good hot chocolate day.... then I realized how nasty the keurig was... on the drive in today I kept thinking... I need to remember to clean the coffee maker tonight... oh I hope I remember to clean the coffee maker tonight... who can I ask to remind me to clean the coffee maker tonight....

Perhaps I will remember to clean the coffee maker tonight since I've typed it a few times....

I cleaned my coffee maker this past weekend, it's a good time of year to do such activities

How does one clean a coffee maker? All my wife does is run a cycle or two with vinegar (no grounds or filters), then rinse it off.

I usually just run coffee through it, coffee comes out black, just the way I like it.
