Material design is a key area within Tetra Pak. At Materials Solutions in Tetra Pak’s Development & Engineeringorganisation, we design materials for our customers’ current and future needs. Identifying and defining material properties and defining the architecture for future packaging material are the core of future material developments.
What you will do
As our new Material Specialist, you will be part of a team of material specialists working in Materials Solutions.
You are up to date in your specialist field and prepared to drive important Tetra Pak questions in your research field internally, but also externally together with universities and institutes. You will be responsible for creating technical knowledge in areas related to sustainable packaging materials and functionality. You are expected to propose and promote your own ideas within TetraPak, while driving development both internally and externally.

Who you are
The successful candidate has an educational background with a Master of Science in Engineering or a PhD in the area of Polymer or Materials Science. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of working experience, preferably in the development of flexible packaging Particularly relevant is the manufacturing knowledge of blown and cast films as well as mono or bioriented films (BOPET, BOPP). The candidate will work in the development of films for lamination and must have familiarity with gas barrier materials and features such as film sealability, converting and machinability.
You are good at building effective relationships with internal and external partners, as well as being a structured person that gets things done in an agile work environment. A very good command of English, both written and spoken, is a must.
