Hi,

Is it OK to have tabs in your bound notes (for the S1 exam)? I have gazillions of them because they obviously don't make their own indexes!! I would hate to get in there and have to remove all gazillion of them. FYI, I am in Wisconsin.

Only a few nerve-racking days left! Good luck!!

Thanks!

If there is a question as to how durable the 'permanent' tabs are most places have accepted scotch tape to fix them from being easily removed.

I agree with Capt Worley though - check with State Board.

Yeah - check your state board, and don't necessarily take no for an answer. I was told no initially, even though there was nothing in the published policies about tabs on the PE. But, there is an NCEES rule against placing tabs on the FE reference manual, so I suspected that the State Board personnel had somehow accidentally applied that to the PE exam as well. After about 4 e-mails back and forth, they agreed that they were in error and that there was nothing wrong with tabs as long as they were "permanent", and not just post-it notes. Although, I did use post-it brand tabs, but taped them down with celophane just to stop my obsessing over the whole tabs issue (I had lots of tabs, and I relied on them).
