Position Title = Structural Engineer (junior)
Education Required = BSCE, education and training with primarily structural emphasis and secondarily civil/sitework design.
Experience Required = At least three years design experience in producing complete civil/structural packages for construction. Design experience should apply toward becoming a registered Professional Engineer.
Position Description = Perform moderately complicated design problems in accordance with accepted engineering standards with minimum supervision, using both manual and computer methods. Assist in preparation of specifications and the development of design standards.
May be required to check drawings, shop drawings, and vendor prints for completeness and clarity. May require the ability to independently handle small projects, including technical and project management issues, under the direction of a Professional Engineer.
Must be familiar with basic computer software and structural modeling software. Must have technical engineering skills as well as project and people management skills; majority of projects will be heavy industrial petro/chemical and power plant projects; strong communication skills to manage a group of engineers and designers as well as project managers and clients; must have some design experience in producing complete civil/structural
packages for construction in heavy industrial facilities.
