^- I don't know, the Denver REI store is 4 stories of awesomeness. Last time I was there they had a simulated ICE wall you could climb (with crampons and such)

DLEG - you would be disappointed with the castle store today, it has the best ski and snowboard selection of any SA store in Denver, however it is full of crack heads, meth heads, etc that walk in off the streets. I think they are going to remodel it as a "upscale" loft condos or something after SA empties out..that should be interesting

It was pretty dumpy back in the day, too.  Downtown Denver didn't used to be so trendy, it was mostly pretty seedy.  But it was the biggest sporting goods store around, back in the pre-box store days.
