Position Title = Project Manager
Education Required = B.S. degree in engineering with business/project management focus.
Years Experience Req'd = 5 years experience in engineering/project management in a highly engineered system business
Position Description = A leading provider of highly engineered rotating machinery control systems for the industrial, oil & gas, and power generation industries is seeking a senior Project Manager with demonstrated experience in managing large domestic and international contracts.
Responsible for project execution and customer satisfaction associated with highly engineered turnkey projects. Performs as the point of contact on assigned projects, and provides leadership role for project team to ensure timely and effective project execution. Extensive client interface to ensure customer satisfaction and compliance with delivery requirements within contractual terms.
Essential Functions:
- Coordinates project planning and execution and ensures timely and cost effective project performance.
- Monitors job cost & performance and initiates corrective action to bring projects within budgeted cost and schedule.
- Define project plans for project engineers, manufacturing & field personnel to execute project activities.
- Interacts with customers worldwide on technical, scheduling and commercial issues.
- Prepares reports associated with work progress, costs and scheduling.
- Must be able to lead diverse project teams.
Qualifications =
- B.S. degree in engineering with business/project management focus.
- Five (5) years experience in engineering /project management in a highly engineered system business.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Background in control systems design and turnkey implementation.
- Excellent project management skills including planning, conflict resolution, relationship maintenance.
- Background in servicing the Oil & Gas and energy sector.
