Position Title = Project Engineer Manager

Education Required = Engineering or technical degree.

Requirements =

•Engineering or technical degree.

•Knowledge of industry and company “Best Practices”

•Strong PC skills. PLC user or programming experience is a plus.

•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities =

•Supervise the Medical Project Specialists and Cylinder Operations Engineers

-Complete performance evaluations

•Develop and maintain national listing of capital improvement projects.

•Assist with assigning priority and resources to engineering initiatives.

•Work with Industrial divisions to ensure common understanding on projects and priorities

•Manage Supply aspects by:

-Approve job scopes for contractors and vendors.

-Coordinate with Supply Management to resolve vendor issues.

-Lead departmental effort on vendor and supplier qualification.

•Establish plans for implementation of technical and efficiency upgrades generated by regulatory changes, AL Group

Industrial direction, quality / safety incidents and near-misses.

-Communicate plans to team.

-Develop scope and budget.

-Interface with vendors as needed.

•Create and manage efficiency improvement projects and manage local projects by:

-Creating and administering project ACEs

-Integrating safety through good engineering practices

-Providing PHA and PSSR for all projects before completion

-Supervising all construction activities performed by field service and contract labor

•Act as Maintenance Manager as defined by QMS.

-Monitor equipment preventive and non-preventive maintenance activities on a national level.

-Drive standardization in work orders and job plans.

-Evaluate training needs and develop training materials.

-Work with Plant Managers to establish annual maintenance plans.

-Communicate with other Industrial Departments issues concerning reliability and issues with critical equipment.

-Oversees MAXIMO effort

•Participate in Technical Audits, using the results to:

-Identify and develop plans to address national issues

-Communicate local issues and assist with resolution

-Improve level of safety in the field

•Establish standards of process design, issue drawings and approve equipment

•Acts as Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Design Authority within specified expertise, as defined by QMS.

•Participate in Group level technical discussions, including review of Group Technical documents.

•Develop action plans for Group Technical Standards and monitor progress.

•Participation in Risk Assessment activities where required.

•Participate in QMS audits where required.

•Report any issue that impacts or may impact safety, the environment, regulatory compliance or customer satisfaction to the

Fill Plant Manager (or designee) or directly into the SmartSolve system.
