Agreed, "under construction"... lots of bad things can happen when you get a shitload of people all changing things. Somewhere someone turned a valve they weren't supposed to? Plumbed something wrong?

Either way, it is sad.

It is sad. We were talking about this in the office this morning since we are currently working on the construction support for a combined cycle plant, so it hit home for us. I'm sure our construction guys will be looking at this one closely to see what happened.

We were talking about that during our morning meeting today. It's similar to what we have in our newest plant and we think they were going through the commissioning process of the fuel gas piping when something bad happened. We use a 16 inch line at 400 psig to supply natural gas to our four turbines. A broken flange with that pressure can cause a lot of bad things to happen in a short amount of time. :shakehead:
