NCEES pencils are like money, horsepower, computer memory, and beautiful women.  You can't have too much. 

The fewer the better though, less re-takes

Anyone receive any notice from NCEES about this?  I haven't.

I did as did a colleague here at work. It has been confirmed that you should absolutely bring your own writing apparatus to the exam.

I would assume  not since it was issued by the NCEES, not the state board

Did you receive an email from NCEES?  I never received anything.  I'm using the online chat right now with someone at NCEES and they confirmed we need to bring a mechanical pencil.  Why wouldn't they email everyone?
