So I am scheduled to take a review class in Seattle at UW for the the civil pe. But that requires driving 150 miles one way over 2 pass for a night class from 7 to 9:30 on Tues & Thurs starting next week through April 10th. I am pondering if my time and money would not be better spend getting a cd review course instead. The price is about the same and I don't have to spend 12 hour a week driving and pay for gas and everything else involved. I also wonder what I will loose in studying due to driving and generally being tired. Unfortunately I still have to squeeze work in here someplace too. :screwloose:
So I come here for some some advice and thoughts on the offering out there.
"the other board" has this one:
Civil PE Exam Review on CD-ROM (with on-line access). Version 5.1(CVCD4) For $645
NSPE has one as doe ASCE Both for $645.
First question are any worth the $$ I am a verbal learner and realize I need that liitle nudge of someone showing how to do problems and what to look for in the way of tips and tricks and I know I need something more than just studying the seaming ever growing pile of references and doing problems.
If this is a worthy and equitable route to go in the sense of getting as good or close to as good of information as going to a regular review class which one of these review cd sets is considered the best?
If I lived in Seattle it would be a no brainer, but I have to balance any gain from the class with the general loss of time and energy during travel.
Thanks in advance and thoughts are much appreciated.
