PE Power: NFPA 70E and NEC Training
The code questions relating to the NEC and NFPA 70E appear to make up a substantial score in the exam. My thoughts are that with code questions - the trick is not in how smart you are, but how well you can search the topic and account for the caveats (that may be spread across several other chapters). NEC classes can be broad, but I know of this class that covers it all in one week. The trainer, Ken Sellars, said that the class is mainly taken by engineers. https://www.e-hazard.com/arc-flash-training/nec-for-industrial-installations.php. I do not believe that the price advertised would be the cost if it is done online...Also, I would like to request that the class be streamlined to cover the most important parts of the Code applicable to the PE Power Exam (maybe two instead of five days?). Will need about 10 people to make the class worth while. What are your thoughts and what will be a good class duration and cost that will whet your appetite. I’d like to get your feedback before speaking to him.
Another note: I strongly recommend this one day class to fare extremely well on the 70E code questions. https://www.e-hazard.com/arc-flash-training/low-voltage-qualified.php. Over 75k have attended this one - one of the best in the country. Once again, it can be customized....but will need at least 10 or so to schedule a PE Power Exam specific class.
