Nope, I've actually never made a pie from scratch, ever. Pies aren't really my thing, but I've been extremely enticed by some gallettes I've been seeing over time recently. 

I made a rhubarb gallette 3 times this summer. So easy

Did you hand make crust, too? I'm told it's not difficult, but I just have never made a pie crust, ever. I also don't have a pie tin.

Rhubarb isn't my fav though I did have some of a piece of raspberry rhubarb pie last night (from a bakery) and it was super yummy!

I did and you don't need a pie pan for a gallette - it's on a cookie sheet.

I've made pumpkin pie, made the crust. And I've made a drop crust pie a few times. But I've never made a 2 crust pie

Yeah, I know, haha. Those were two disjointed thoughts. No pies, no pie tin... Gallette, totally possibly and rather enticing.

What about savory gallettes? Smitten Kitchen (am I obsessed??) posted a live story last week where she made a butternut squash and caramelized onions gallette... It looked so yummy!
