I go through phases at work, it depends on what I'm working on.I listen to them a lot when I drive. But now that my commute is only 10-minutes...I do not listen to podcasts as much.

I know! Now that the test is over, I'm waiting for the next semester to begin at this language school. As a multi-language learner, I'm not really in favor of most apps and programs (I've literally used almost all of them) for learning a language for "real". Nothing, and I mean nothing, beats a real pen-and-paper class at community college, or moving abroad, or dating someone who is bilingual (native proficiency). It's like the PE, nothing takes the place of time spent with pen and paper.
I do have some hacks though. For example, even with no formal grammar lessons, you can get yourself 50-60% of your intelligibility from just memorizing vocabulary (please remember to also memorize the gender) in almost any language. Still takes time, but that's time you can steal throughout the day.
As someone who is guiltily trying to learn the language of her country of origin at 35...I totally agree. Nothing beats immersion if you have the privilege of doing so! Just being in Italy for 2 weeks helped me way more than doing Rosetta Stone for 3 months. As a multi-language learner, I not really in favor of most apps and programs (I've literally used almost all of them) for learning a language for "real". Do it! I used to live in France but I'm forgetting a lot of it, we can practice!only French is offered
It's tempting to do French since I'm in Maine so we have a lot of French-Canadians who come through (Yes I know Quebecois is different than French French )Do it! I used to live in France but I'm forgetting a lot of it, we can practice!
I 100% agree. Especially because I bought this car when I lived in VT (and needed a car with AWD and winter tires), where low-mileage Subaru's are basically unicorns. I have noooo idea why she traded it in for a Golf. But yep, my gain! This was not a smart move, no offense to the seller. You made out like a bandit!
Yes, Francisco! Not because he ultimately ended up in SF, but because my original license plate had the letter FRN in it and I didn't want to go with Fern.Does it have a name? Ours is "Gump" (Forester Gump).
I'm pretty certain you have mentioned this here before. I will need to try it the next time I'm under the weather.Blackberry brandy is very medicinal. Just make sure you get the one with the drunken Polack on the front (I'm not kidding).
My 2 best friends in HS would speak in Latin a lot. They were in AP Latin which was translating VirgilIt's just a Lorem Ipsum passage.
