Getting my PE didn't really change much for me right away. The big change came when I got my SE. I didn't get a raise for it, but it definitely started opening doors for other opportunities.

Well I am not absolutely sure my raises and/or promotions depend on it, but the amount of S%$# I will get from my supervisors who are PE's  if I don't pass it is what I am most dreading!!
None of my management chain has it. My previous supervisor did, but he's moved on to better projects

I am sure we are all in the same boat. Those 2 letters makes for a nice pay bump.

No actual bump, I was just informed after the fact that, for some reason, my career suddenly depended on it

My two direct supervisors have it and they both passed the first time so they already give me S%$# for not passing my first time, I can't even imagine the S&%$ I will get if I don't pass it the second time!! Don't want to imagine it!

a coworker passed it first try a year or so before I took it.  Thankfully i passed first try too or the ribbing would have been intense

I work in systems for Space Station experiments, basically a PE license does nothing for me, I'm hoping to pass in case I have to work outside of the NASA world some day
