Hi,

I was requested to obtain license in Alberta. I am a PE Civil in State of Texas and Alaska. Not quite sure what would be the best way to obtain license in different country. I already looked in the website and it looks like I need to take another exam in Canada.

Has anyone had experience about this? Suggestion would be appreciated. Thanks!

P.S. I think I ran across the link between Arizona and Alberta. Alberta license can practice in Arizona? Would it work the other way around?

Call the Texas state board and check. I believe with the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), you have to fill out some paperwork, however, may not have to take another examination other than a legal/ethics examination. The Texas Board has advocated cross registration with other countries more feverently than many other states-- they will be able to help you down the road on this matter.
