In problem 804 in the NCEES, the solution on page 218 - line 6, the overturning moment at the shear wall due to the uplift wind load is calculated as follows:

 M = ...........+ ..........+ (440) (10) (10/2)

I am not sure how the last term is calculated. Any clue?

Is it a mistake? The book is full of mistakes anyways.

It's the roof uplift although the trib width should probably be 20' not 10', so I could believe an argument that it should be (440 plf)(20')(10'/2)
