Thermal-Fluids people: I recommend picking up the HVAC practice exam in addition to the TFS practice exam. Lots more psychrometric examples and mixed air problems. Lots of crossover with TFS. Best choice I made while prepping for the TFS exam.

Turns out my office has a library of the same material so it's all redundant. Should have expected that since it's a building full of Power EEs. Still planning to sit for the exam!

Me: "Uhm...mechanical, actually."

Them: *stares blankly* "So...not electrical?"

Curious, how come you are taking both disciplines? 

Previous gig was mechanical (where I got the experience to qualify for the license/exam). Then I got a job closer to home doing electrical/controls/automation. I have interest in both disciplines and California is a "practice act" state. So if I want to practice electrical engineering, I have to get a license that specifically states "licensed electrical engineer." Most other states just have something like "licensed professional engineer" without explicitly defining which discipline.
