Position Title = Instrumentation Engineer
Education Required = BSEE
Years Experience Required = 5-7 (10+ preferred)
Position Description = Responsible for sizing/specifying all instrumentation utilized for analysis, flow, level, pressure, and temperature measurement.
Responsibilities
- Specifies sizing/selection of analyzers, flow elements, control valves
- Specifies flow, level, pressure, and temperature transmitters/switches for general process applications as well as safety, combustion, ESD, and metering systems
- Supplies the specification of DCS and PLC system hardware and software
- Creates instrument data sheets, instrument indices, instrument system wiring diagrams, and cable schedules
- Prepares instrument and control philosophy documents and block diagrams
- Creates bid documents (RFQ’s), bid analysis, and purchase requisitions
Qualifications
- 5-7 (10+ preferred) years experience in the petroleum industry sector
- A working knowledge of US and International codes and standards such as API, ISA, IEC, NEC, NFPA, etc.
