Position Title = Instrument Engineer
Education Required = BSEE
Years Experience Required = 5
Job Description = Immediate opening for Instrument Engineer for six month plus assignment in Southeast Texas.
* Engineer will support the client’s lead Instrument and Controls Engineer to ensure that instrument and controls design meets project specifications, client standards and USA regulatory requirements.
* Provide sound technical direction to contractor and vendor staff on instrumentation and controls problems during the commissioning of Yokogawa instrument and control issues.
* Interface with vendors to resolve Yokogawa instrument and control issues.
* Manage interfaces with other discipline teams.
* Assist in troubleshooting serial communications TCP/IP, Modbus, OPC.
Required Knowledge, Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
* Instrument and controls engineering technical knowledge BE or similar.
* Instrument and controls design work experience in supervisory role.
* Instrument and controls construction and commissioning experience.
* Technical knowledge on control and safety systems with prior experience of configuring the systems and managing work by contractor’s personnel.
* Preferable to have Yokogawa Centium and/or Prosafe knowledge.
* Preferable to have Modbus knowledge.
* Control system start up experience
* Motivated, energetic team player.
* Open, clear communicator.
