I'm having an issue that I hope someone may be able to help me with.

I passed the PE exam in the state of Illinois this last April, and I completed my four years of experience in December of 2010. However, I did not fully understand the online vs. written application process for the State of Illinois. As a result, I sent the sealed envelops containing my PE-VNG forms directly to the Board and did not include them with my written application.

I'm trying to find a way to track down the missing forms. I would rather not contact my old employer and have them fill out an additional form.

So far my efforts to contact the Illinois Board have been unsuccessful. If anyone has any advice on the best way to find those forms and have them associated with my application I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks

Did the board reject/return your application or did they just ask for the missing forms? I would suggest that you simply ask your old employers to fill out another form. Also, the PE-VNG form that I sent to the board was not in a sealed envelope and I encountered no problems with getting the license. Be sure to send it Certified Mail so that you know who actually received it next time. Hope that helps.

Yes, the board rejected my application for not proving my experience. I would agree that an easy solution would be to simply have my old employer fill out a new form. Thank You.
