I am assisting the City of Grove, Oklahoma in their search for a City Engineer. Grove is a premier recreational and retirement community of 9,000 residences located in northeast Oklahoma. It is a community experiences rapid growth with a solid staff and a very high quality of life.
The City Engineer works for the City Manager who is the Chief Executive Officer for the City. The City Engineer is responsible for planning and managing administrative and professional level engineering and planning activities. Duties include managing operations in engineering; developing and implementing departmental policies; oversight of engineering projects (water, wastewater, natural gas, street, storm drainage, etc.); reviewing and approving developmental plans and zoning requests; and providing technical advice. The applicant should be proficient in Windows environment, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Auto Cad.
Minimum requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and sufficient experience to successfully perform the essential duties of the job. Position requires registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Oklahoma.
