1% in a county that only has a 5% sales tax, 4% of which goes to the state
Holy crap!1% in a county that only has a 5% sales tax, 4% of which goes to the state
Unfortunately, we have a 6% income tax as well as local property tax..Ours is 9.25% here, and its higher in some other counties.
Of course, we don't have state income tax or personal property tax.
I remember. I'm originally from the upstate. I was amazed when I moved to TN how much difference overall there was in what I paid in state and local taxes (much less here), considering the cost of living is considered pretty even between the two areas.Unfortunately, we have a 6% income tax as well as local property tax..
Well played sir, well played! :appl:True, although I would like to point out that the real reason that Al Gore was never president is not because of Florida, but because he failed to win his home state. Had he won TN's measly 11 electoral votes, he would have won. For some reason, the media at the time tended to gloss over that.
