To start, I have never taken an engineering course nor have I taken a math course since 2004, but I'm planning on taking the fe exam in october in Michigan. I am an attorney and hoping to pass this test to make me eligible for the patent bar.
I have been studying for the past few weeks and I am very comfortable with the math, probability, and economics sections. I was looking for some advice on passing the exam by focusing on certain subjects. I started going through statics, dynamics, and mechanics this week, which were not easy to digest, but I recently read that they account for less than 10% of the exam. Is it worth focusing on fluids, thermo, and electricity, as it seems these subjects comprise a significant portion of the grading scale? Any advice would help.
Thanks in advance. Also, I'm studying approximately 30 hours a week and probably 60 hours in my final week.
