I have an excuse, I was getting my haircut.

I tell mrs nj that the salon costs are too high also. Just let me cut it...

:17:

I just had to school Mrs NJ in the art of buying halloween candy. she bought nerds, smarties and dumdums. While my frugal side appreciated the $2/bag, that candy is $h!t

aren't you not supposed to give smarties and dumdums out because the wrappers aren't "sealed"?
probably true. But the bigger point here is that no one comes through our neighborhood. So if we are going to be stuck with the candy, better to be stuck with good candy.

The neighborhood kids always pass by our place. My wife stocks up on M&Ms, Snickers, Milky Ways, and Reeses. Even with taking some to the office I'm always worried I'll have diabetes after going through the leftovers. Coworker of mine always brings in leftover Godiva. I want to pass out good candy but I don't care quite that much.

this (both points)

To get caught up:

4 maybe 5 haircuts a year. #1 on sides and back, top is left just long enough to comb. I leave it alone until I can't stand the curls developing around my ears.

We get a ton of trick-or-treaters. Our neighborhood was "discovered" last year by those roving hordes of traveling kids, so we end up with a non-stop parade from 5pm through about 10.

boondoggle

We get kids from all over town coming to our neighborhood to trick or treat. Apparently it's the "in" place to go for Halloween. Or maybe its cuz all the houses are over 150 years old and most probably haunted.
