Question:

I have the 1st edition of the FERM and wondering.....

Is it worth upgrading to the 2nd ed. or is it just a waste of money? Is there any changes/revisions/upgrades that I should be aware of??

Also, has anyone used the FE study guides by Chelapati? I've seen a few guys mention that the PE books and they said they are good, but how about their FE books?

Thanks

I would imagint that since the FE doesn't ask for codes, standards, or specs, the new edition probably isn't that different.

I did not really study for FE. I study about 2 weeks... Woke up one hour early everyday, and studied more in the weekend. I recall that the majority of the exam was math, some physics.

Hi. I took the FE last October and passed it. I used the First edition of the FERM. I actually bought my copy in 2000 but never got to use it until last year. I was in the same position you were, I saw a newer edition and thought it might have different stuff, but here what I did: After I was familiar with the 1st Ed FERM, I went to a book store and browsed the 2nd Ed. I did not see any difference with the exception of the biology section, which at that point I could not care less about. My observation indicated that they are both the same. The 1st Ed FERM is sufficient for you to pass.

I used the newest edition of the FERM and I passed so I would say its safe to assume any copy of it would work just fine.
Hey all...

When you guys say "FERM", are you referring to this? http://www.ppi2pass.com/http://www.ppi2pass.com/"the other board"/PPIShop_ct_FEEXAM

If so, is it easy to enforce their don't pass/don't pay guarantee?

Also, in the amazon description for this book http://www.amazon.com/Review-Manual-Prepar...831&sr=11-1 it says there is "free software to help reinforce what you've learned" available for a $4.95 shipping fee. Did any of you get that software? what's it like?

Thanks!
