Hello,

I recently registered for FE Mechanical for this october. I am from Texas. I will be giving my exam in Dallas. Its been almost 4 years I graduated. I started my preparation few weeks ago. I'm finding it difficult to get motivated, too many distractions. I started my preparation with afternoon section topics few weeks ago. I bought Lindeburg FE Review Manual but I havent yet started using it. I am using text books that I used during my engineering and NCEES handbook. I covered Machine design and heat transfer topics. Just started Thermodynamics.

Is there any one in similar situation like I am, so that we can share our progress and get motivated.

Thanks,

Jyothi Swaroop

Hello,

I am going to write my exam this coming october in Canada. I had all my university classes in French, taking the exam in English is very hard for me. However, we can share difficulties and help each other if possible.

Jyothi,

Prepare for the morning session first from FE Review Manual (Lindeburg). Understand the general concepts first from this book and then go through practice problems. Locate formulas in the FE supplied reference handbook as you work through the practice problems. If you have difficulty understanding certain concepts, see if there are videos on youtube.

I am appearing for FE Mech this October. I have been out of school for 8 years. I found it difficult when I started studying, but now I am feeling ok.

Hope this helps.

Good luck.
