Embedded Software Engineer – Senior Level
Skill Requirements - Contribute to product requirement definition, as well as define problem assumptions, boundary conditions, and design requirements for embedded code based on product needs. • Work on significant and unique issues where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangibles. • Test and Report on embedded code in peer review function • Lead and contribute to code validation and debug in real-world applications • Coordinate as appropriate with suppliers, manufacturing, and other engineering personnel to develop the information required to complete assigned engineering projects • Participate in and lead project reviews. • Uses skills to contribute to development of company objectives, principles and achieve goals in creative and effective ways. • Exercises independent judgment in methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. • Act independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments. • Ability to supervise activities of a team
Basic Requirements - Education required is a 4 year Bachelor of Science degree (or equivalent) in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering with emphasis on Vehicular Embedded Applications • 10 years of experience in C, C++, or other embedded software language • Experience in embedded controls development in vehicle industries
Preferred Experience – Heavy vehicle experience • Industry standard tools for software development • Demonstrated experience with vehicle multiplex buses • Industry standard tools for vehicle multiplexing • Good written and oral communication skills • Good understanding of workflow and up and downstream impact
