Embedded Software Engineer – Mid Level

Skill Requirements - Define problem assumptions, boundary conditions, and design requirements for embedded code based on product needs. • Work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. • Test and Report on embedded code in peer review function • Lead and contribute to code validation and debug in real-world application • Coordinate as appropriate with suppliers, manufacturing, and other engineering personnel to develop the information required to complete assigned engineering projects • Participate in and lead project reviews • Resolves complex issues in creative and effective ways. • Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. • Having wide-ranging experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways. • Determines methods and procedures on new assignments, and may provide guidance to other personnel.

Basic Requirements - Education required is a 4 year Bachelor (or equivalent) of Science degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering with emphasis on vehicular embedded applications • 6-8 years of experience in C, C++, or other embedded software language. • Experience in embedded controls development in vehicle industries.

Preferred Experience – Heavy vehicle experience • Industry standard tools for software development • Experience with vehicle multiplex buses • Industry standard tools for vehicle multiplexing • Good written and oral communication skills • Good understanding of workflow and up and downstream impact
