Embedded Software Engineer – Junior Level

Skill Requirements - Define problem assumptions, boundary conditions, and design requirements from text documents to write embedded code • Work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors • Test and Report on embedded code in peer review function • Be available for code validation in real-world application • Coordinate as appropriate with suppliers, manufacturing, and other engineering personnel to develop the information required to complete assigned engineering projects • Participate in and lead project reviews • Resolve a wide range of issues in imaginative, as well as, practical ways. • Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. • Use skills of an experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices and company policies • Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments.

Basic Requirements - Education required is a 4 year Bachelor of Science degree (or equivalent) in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering with emphasis on vehicular embedded applications • 3-5 years of experience in C, C++, or other embedded software language.

Preferred Experience - Heavy vehicle experience • Industry standard tools for software development • Experience with vehicle multiplex buses • Industry standard tools for vehicle multiplexing • Good written and oral communication skills • Good understanding of workflow and up and downstream impact
