When determing the development length, ld, the CERM states that two equations are used: one for #6 and smaller bars, and one for #7 bars and larger. Is this current?

Reason I'm asking is that in working the CERM Practice Problems, they used the equation for the #6 and smaller bars, no matter what size bars were determined...I used the second equation because I determined, for one problem, that #7 bars needed to be used.

The more I get into the solutions for the CERM Practice Problems, the more errors I find....anyone noticed the same thing?

L(d) is setup in ACI table 12.2.2 as a no. 6 and smaller using one equation while no. 7 and larger are using another equation. You should also be careful of the clear spacing of the bars. If these aren't used, then the length is increased by 50%.
