any guidance for studying Radiation?

I'm almost through Lindeburg Chap 48: "Biological Effects of Radiation", and plan to get through Chap. 49: "Nuclear Shielding" this weekend, and got introduced to the topic via Chap 46: "Industrial Hygiene"

while none of the Radiation equations are complicated, the sets of units & factors (data Tables) involved take time to comprehend - 1 struggling page at a time has been the methodical approach

i suppose the very nature of the topic prevents one from quickly reading, comprehending, and correctly applying - am i correct to continue to simply suck it up and get through page-by-page?

thx

I think Lindeburg gives you enough to pass the test. If you want to understand it better, read the Chapter on Radiation in Salvato ("Environmental Engineering") if you have it. Otherwise, I wouldn't worry about it too much.
